A quiet (pic free) day
Wan has already gone by the time Nok and myself get up.
It turns out that Kevin has been ill most of the morning and has not been able to keep anything down and this was not really appreciated by Wan.
He recovers a little during the afternoon, but does not want to go out in the evening. Around 7:30, Nok and myself head up to Cherry Bar for another party, and Chris volunteers to get some meds for Kevin and come up to the bar later.
We arrive at the Cherry Bar and Am asks where Kevin is. We explain that he is not well, so she telephones the hotel to speak with him and decides to go and check he’s okay. In the meantime, Chris arrives at Cherry Bar and says that the pharmacist has prescribed some meds but said that if the problem persists then Kevin should go to the hospital the next day.
Chris then decides to go off on another solo City tour, so he leaves as well.
Nok and myself are not really in the mood for the party that night, so we decide to head off back to FLB for a quick drink and then have an early night ourselves after the excessive alcohol intake of the previous night. We get back to the hotel at 10:45 and Kevin is still unwell and not able to keep anything down, but seems to be getting some sleep at least, so we all retire for the night.
The story discusses issues of a sexual and adult nature, however there will is no nudity portrayed anywhere within the site.

Trip 1 - Day 6
Friday 27th October 2006
Nok has her own bar tab
Not sure what has happened, but Am is not about this morning. Nok decides to return to her room to collect some clothes, so we both leave the hotel and I go for a walk around Walking Street, Soi 15 and Soi 14 and then walk back to the hotel rather than getting the usual baht bus. When I see Chris, I find that he has also finished with his Nok. so it was : George 2 nights Noi / 3 nights Nok : Kevin 5 nights Am : Chris 5 nights Nok. I am the only one keeping close to the newbie rule. (This does go to complete ratshit later though!)
Kevin starts to explain why Am has decided to go and he agrees with her, but it's all a bit vague at this point. I will provide more detail later on in order to keep things chronological, but let's just say that even as a newbie, I am gobsmacked surprised. At this point, I will admit to only having one side of the story though.
Anyhow, back to my trip; the evenings have already started to develop a familiar pattern. We start out in the hotel bar; (Nok looks so lovely )
baht bus into town and in to the FLB where Nok buys shooters for her girlfriends. We then go to P72 again for something to eat and after finding out that Nok had spent 720 baht on drinks for all her friends, I reimburse Nok for the drinks that she bought.
Coming back down Walking Street to FLB, we decide to go into one of the bar complexes and we end up in the Unicorn Bar.
I buy perfume for Nok from a street vendor because she wanted it. Hey, it was only 350 baht and it kept her happy. The money just drips away, but who cares?
The games come out and I beat Nok several times at Connect 4, so she changes the game to the dice game and gets her own back by beating me comprehensively.
After a few rounds of drinks, we decide to move on. Kevin, Nok & myself head back to FLB whilst Chris decides to take in some GoGo entertainment.
Once in FLB, Nok goes of to chat with her friends and Kev decides to BF a girl who is new to the bar who he'd met the night before. (Wan).
Wan speaks no English, so Kevin sends her off with 1000 baht to join Nok and the other girls, who are getting quite pissed by now.
As the night draws to a close, the girls party breaks up. They checkbin and find that they don’t have enough money. They have a bill of 3865 baht, but they have obviously had a good time and Nok is like a little minx, so we pay up the extra and then they continue to drink with us for another hour or so.
Everyone is either tired or drunk, so no parties 'in loom' tonight.

Trip 1 - Day 5
Thursday 26th October 2006
(The first FLB Bar Crawl with Hammer)
The day started late due to excesses of the night before, so we took it steady in the late afternoon /early evening as we were going on one of the infamous FLB / Hammer crawls.
We got to the FLB quite early, as Chris needed to pay Martin for his forthcoming party and I needed to pay the outstanding BF for Nok.
We leave the girls at the hotel with room keys, money for food and drinks and set off for FLB.
Having handed my money over to the Mamasan for the BF for Nok for 4 days (Wednesday - Saturday), she checks all the details and then comes over to have a word with Martin. I was told that Nok was 19 and not 20 as she had told me the previous day. Martin said that this was not a real problem as she could drink in the FLB as she was staff, but technically she would be breaking the law by drinking anywhere else. In practical terms, Martin suggested that we avoid any Discotheques and GoGo bars.
We wait for the rest of the BMs to arrive before voting on the crawl location for the night. The voting is close, but we are off to Soi 1 / 2. First stop Joys Bar where all the staff are dressed as schoolgirls and I just wished that schoolgirls had looked like that when I was at school!
Then off to a beer bar complex where we are entertained by girls that have come over from the Honey Pot.
Next it’s a short stagger to the Oh La La bar located within the same complex
Then it was off to Classroom GoGo and finally Honey Pot.
I am very taken with No. 45 Kob from the Honey Pot Club and may have to return another time to spend some time with her. Tim also seemed to have his hands full at the Honey Pot.
Where else in the world would you leave your hotel keys with virtual stangers, then go out on the piss and find them waiting for you without demanding any explanations as to why you rolled in pissed up three hours late?
This city is crazy, but bloody good fun!
Here's a few other pics from the crawl for you guys. I cannot remember who everyone is and which bars, but I hope that you enjoy:

We have a hotel room full of girls and we stay out drinking until about 03:00. We must be mad.
Not to worry, they have stayed up for us. I get in, have a shower and feel a little better.

Trip 1 - Day 4
Wednesday 25th October 2006
I’m not in love?
I leave two 1000 baht notes on top of Noks bag as I go to shower and they are gone when I come out. When I suggest going to the FLB that night to pay more BF, I am told that she is happy to stay with me, but she doesn’t want to go to the FLB. This confuses me, but I say that it is ‘no problem’.
She needs to go to her room to collect some clothes, so I decide to take the plunge and get a shave whilst she is away.
Am takes me across the road to a hairdresser & massage place. She explains that the beard is to be shaved off and they agree to undertake the task.
1.5 hours later, I am clean shaven for the first time in 25 years with a new haircut and I’ve had this strange finger pulling massage. I’ve spent the grand total of 275 baht.
Later that day, Nok returns to the hotel and looks really gorgeous in shorts and she has had a hairdo. (Thai girls hair is lovely. Long black, silky, shiny hair that smells divine.)
We make our way to Cherry Bar where it is party night. I am besotted with Nok and we sit at the end of the bar playing games, drinking and chatting and she feeds me slices of pork dip in chilli sauce. (It’s a hard life here!)
This evening is when I find that Nok smokes the occasional cigarette when drinking. It’s not a major problem, but probably the first sign that she’s not perfect. As an ex smoker myself, I do not make a big fuss, but tell her that the bedroom is strictly a no smoking area.
The whole night was great fun with Nui on top form and everyone having a lot of laughs and a good time.
Me butterfly?
No; I think Kevin is much more interested.
Besides, I have the real thing.
The only ‘downer’ was that I was very pointedly ignored all evening by Noi. I had obviously done something ‘wrong’, but I can assure everyone that nothing was done deliberately.
We had reached the end of another late drunken night in Pattaya and I was totally 'lubbed up' now. Oh dear!

Trip 1 - Day 3
Tuesday 24th October 2006
Upgrade
I leave a tip of 3000 baht for Noi, which I know is probably over the odds for her, but it is the same rate that Kevin and Chris are giving girls from the same bar, so it isn’t worth any possible hassle over a total of 1000 baht (It’s only 15GBP)
We all meet in the hotel reception and head off to Soi Bukhow. I don’t know if we were supposed to do any more shopping, but we failed if that was the ‘plan’. We sit in the front of Emma Salon which is a hair salon cum drinks bar cum snack bar (there are many weird combinations of businesses in the Pattaya shops) and have a full English breakfast which is both cheap and filling. The girls disappear off to buy food to eat later at the hotel. Boy do they really love to eat. When we leave the bar, Noi gets on a baht bus to take her to work and I am now single again.
Walking along the roads without having a girl on your arm allows you to marvel at how everything continues to work in this crazy city. The wiring is unbelievable.
We get back to the room and Am piles into a mountain of food.
That evening, we set out for town and return to FLB. As we are shown to a table, a cute service girl asks if I want Coke to drink and gives me a smile that just melts me inside. I try to explain that I was drunk (mau) on Sunday and that I am sorry for spilling my drink. This is met with another cute smile and I check her badge to see that her name is also Nok (Same as Chris’s girlfriend), however the badge is red so it's a no go unfortunately.
After a couple of drinks, we leave and and I hand a 100 baht tip to Nok as we are going. She was really cute.
We wander up Walking Street to a restaurant called P72, where the food is both cheap and good. Am receives a telephone call during the meal, and asks me if I liked Nok in the FLB. I reply with a stupid grin plastered all over my face that I liked her very much and thought she was very cute and pretty.
There is some more chat on the telephone and I am told that she finishes work at 2am and will see me then if that is okay. I have just lost my heart to a girl in Pattaya that I have exchanged less than 10 words with and seen for a total of about 30 minutes. Another rule just got broken.
We finish our meal and then go to check out Secrets. The place looks really great inside (including the best toilets found anywhere in Pattaya to date) and it is obvious that there has been some heavy investment in the place, but unfortunately many of the staff appear to be very bored and there is no atmosphere.
We leave Secrets and make our way back to FLB where I am just grinning like a Cheshire Cat that has discovered a cream lake.
I see Nok and we are both quite shy about actually talking to one another, but she is still working, so I try and concentrate on talking with the others. We are later joined at the table by Martin & Ricky and introduce ourselves as a bunch of newbies.
During this conversation, Martin asks me what I’d been told about my beard. I tell him that both Noi & Nok had said that it was ‘okay’. He suggests that this a ‘little white lie’ and had I thought about being clean shaven? To be honest I hadn’t, as I’d had my beard for around 25 years and in fact both my children have never seen me clean shaven.
Time creeps slowly around to 2am and I am able to BF Nok. The fine gets put in the bin, so the cost is shared by Kev & Chris (thanks guys!). Nok goes off to change out of her work clothes and then comes back to sit with our group. This is heaven and I am being ribbed by all the others, but I don’t care. I'm all 'lubbed up' Bang goes another rule.
We all get a baht bus back to the hotel and this time it’s drinks in Chris’s room (Sorry, I mean Nok’s loom).
Get to bed at some stupid hour in the morning and I just cannot believe that this gorgeous creature is sharing my bed. I’m smitten and I just want to protect her, so it’s just a real GFE of kissing and cuddling, as I plan to spend some time with Nok. I tell her that I will BF her for 3 days, but I will then take a break and may BF her for another few days later in my holiday. What bollocks I was talking; was this the best effort I was making to kid myself?
I get very little sleep during the night as I keep waking just to look at this sleeping angel laying next to me. (I see many rules lining up to be trashed now.) The amount of tip has not been discussed, so I have to resolve the ‘it’s up to you’ issue.
I probably have this completely wrong, but I reason that as the BF was 25% higher for a red badge, then the tip should also be higher. As I had previously paid 1500, I decide that the tip should be at least 1875, so I settle on a figure of 2000. and hope that I've got it right.
This was a serious upgrade that I had undertaken and it all appeared to have gone very well; too well!

Trip 1 - Day 2
Monday 23rd October 2006
(King for a day)
Oh dear, what the hell? Where the fuck am I? Oh yeah, I’m in Pattaya and who is this in my bed? Oh yeah, Noi. Our ‘plan’ for the day.
We must go shopping, as Kevin and myself have come to Pattaya with very little in the way of clothes. We meet up with Chris and Nok for breakfast and then get a baht bus to Mikes Shopping Mall next to the bus station. I tell Noi that I need 3 or 4 shirts and a couple of pairs of trousers, and she should choose for me.
So we start wandering around all the stalls and are being kitted out by the girls. I tell Noi that she should choose something for herself, but I am surprised when she doesn’t seem interested in shopping. Kevin then has a quiet word and asks if we’d actually given the girls any money, because obviously they can’t shop without baht. He then tells us that he’s given Am 3000 baht, so in order that we don’t look like a pair of Cheap Charlies, we cough up a similar amount each. Thanks for that one Kevin! Really appreciated!
Anyhow, the girls go off hunting through the tops, the dresses, the shoes and underwear stalls. Right; how many of you BM’s would be seen dead shopping with your wives / girlfriends back at home? After a while in the store, I really started to feel quite nauseous and needed to get something to drink and I only wanted something like water or Coke. We get out of the shopping mall and take our lives in our hands to negotiate our first crossing of Second Road. Having managed this apparently impossible feat we head for the nearest open beer bar which turns out to be Toy Bar. I consume nothing but water for an hour or so and then feel somewhat better. I am not allowed to open my water bottle or even put the straw in as this is all being done for me by Noi.
Then it’s back to the hotel where I am showered and then off for a sleep. Hey lads, the girls are right. This shopping lark really takes it out of you.
The girls all go off in the afternoon to get ready for the evening. And we agree to meet them in the Cherry bar around 8pm. When we get there, they are all dressed in the clothes that they had bought that morning.
We also meet Talan who has also been out shopping with Joy that morning and agree to all go for a meal together. Joy however feels that she is not dressed up enough to go out, so she goes back to the hotel to change. When she returns, we go to a seafood restaurant on Beach Road just north of Soi 7. I have no recollection of the name of the place, as we originally thought that we were going to the Pig & Whistle. (When the girls make their collective minds up, it’s not worth arguing!)
This next photo caused a number of problems which will be covered later
Back (left to right) Tim, Kevin, Nok, Chris
Front (left to right) Joy, George, Noi, Am
After the meal, we returned to the Cherry Bar where I proceeded to play Shut The Box (The Dice Game) with a few of the girls and I am laughing a lot with Nam from behind the bar who is really good company. Between games, I have my fingernails trimmed by Noi which seems somewhat strange to me. I have to admit that I have been extremely well looked after tonight.
Back to the hotel late again by the now familiar baht bus and Kevin has a word with me suggesting that I may have upset Noi by spending so much time chatting and playing games with Nam. He may be right, so I speak with Noi later that night and try to explain that I will not be paying any more BF for her, but I promise not to BF any other girl from the Cherry Bar. I hope that I have done this correctly, as I will continue to use the Cherry Bar and intend to take girls from other bars along with me. This ‘face’ thing can really screw you up if you spend to long trying to ‘second guess’ the Thai girls.

Trip 1 - Journey and Day 1
I suspect that I have made every newbie mistake that is possible (and any that I have't made will probably be made in the next week and I anticipate being shot down for some of the gaffes I've made. Irrespective, "it's my holiday" and it has been a blast so far and there's another week to go before returning home for 7 weeks and then coming back to this playground city.

(The journey and the arrival in Pattaya)
It’s 5 a.m. on a cold wet England morning and there’s a knock at the door. The cab has arrived and after the weeks of waiting I’m finally on my way. Get to the coach station and then start the journey to Heathrow Airport.
No problems on the first leg of the journey from Heathrow to Muscat, apart from the flight being full and there being too many young noisy children on board. This meant that I didn’t sleep, but I was so excited that sleep may not have been possible even on a quiet flight. The transfer at Muscat was scheduled to be forty minutes, but there was already a 1.5 hour delay being advertised. No problem, it’s not the end of the world.
We actually board the plane much sooner than expected, so I thought I was going to make up most of the time, but we just sit on the plane for about 1 hour until a late running connecting flight arrives from Germany. We finally get airborne and make it to the new Bangkok airport without any other troubles.
The first thing I notice about the airport is all the signs saying “God save the King”, and everything looking very clean. I had started my journey at Heathrow Terminal 3 which simply had HSBC advertised on every ramp. What a difference.
Get through immigration and into the arrivals hall. I find my mate Kevin (kev0184) with the driver from Mr. Toom.
The drive from the airport to Pattaya is pretty good apart from some delays due to roadworks and because it was a holiday there was a lot of traffic. I get to see some of the crazy ways that people travel in this part of the world and try to picture what an English policeman would be like trying to enforce traffic regulations here. Let’s just say that they would be extremely busy trying to enforce any order on the road. Three lane highways become four or even five lane highways; pick up trucks are passed with anything up to a dozen people sitting in the back and motorbikes just weaving in and out of the traffic with no indication.
We get to our hotel (Residence Garden) and our booking is exactly as it was promised in the emails from Ib & Da. We just need to wait a short time to allow the hotel staff to prepare the room for us, so we sit down and have a bite to eat and a beer sitting by the front pool. We are then told that our room is ready, so we simply get up and go off for the obligatory “shit, shower & shave”. We are sitting in our lounge just before going out when we realise that we haven’t paid our bar bill. We’ve only been here 1 hour and mistake Number 1 has already been made.
We decide on a ‘plan’ for the afternoon. We will walk into town, take in the sights of Walking Street and Beach Road, then go on to Cherry Bar in Soi 8, then head back to Secrets for the BM meeting later that night. This we think is a good plan, as we will get to work out where things are in the City. With hindsight “DON’T MAKE PLANS!”
We walk down 2nd Road and then turn left into Soi 16 and head down to Walking Street where we turn right. We see the signs for FLB further up on the left, but when we get there ‘the stores are all closed”. However there is a beer complex on the other side of the road with a bar that was open, so we decide that we ”can get what we came for” and stop to have a couple of beers. I didn’t make a note of the bar name, but it was very quiet on a Sunday afternoon. It was good enough though. The beer was cold and we were finally here!
The bar was almost opposite the Jenny Street Bar and there were a couple of real stunners sitting at the front of the bar. I point them out to Kev who says that one of them has been looking over at us and then I inform him that “It’s Jenny Street Bar; you know the ladyboy place” We are both shocked at how feminine and damn sexy these ‘girls’ look. By now, I’ve been awake for 28 hours, am sweating profusely and already feeling a little light headed. We still press ahead with our plan and start the walk. It’s a LONG way and won’t be done again! (We have now discovered the baht bus and use this method of transport to get about all the time.)
We finally arrive at Cherry Bar around 3 p.m. and it looks as though it too is shut with no customers sitting at the bar. There are a few girls sitting in the seats at the front of the bar, so I ask if they are open. “Of course we are” comes back the reply, so we grab a couple of spots at the side of the bar and start to put back a few beers. I am now getting quite seriously drunk, and things all become a bit ‘sketchy’ from here on in, but there were other BMs involved, so from the posts of their stories, maybe I’ll find out the full story of what I got upto.
I didn’t realize quite how badly the humidity and temperature would affect me, and it was obviously not a good idea to have so many beers, but hey I was on holiday and I was in Pattaya. It seemed like a good idea at the time, and I was being attended to by Noi who was really looking after me well and kept wiping my ‘fevered brow’ and generally fussing over me.
I have never had this much care and attention from a woman, so I was in absolute heaven. I was in a good mood, had a big smile on my face, a woman who was treating me like royalty and drinking cold beer in an open fronted bar on Soi 8. Let me tell you, life felt pretty damn good.
The memory gets really mangled now, but I had somehow managed to let Noi know that I was a ‘butterfly’ on holiday and I’d arranged her BF for 2 nights. When Kev discovered that I’d done this, he decided that he’d better sort out some lovely company for himself, however the one that he really fancied was the cashier Am. He still decided that it was worthwhile trying to BF her and she agreed, but said she would not be able to leave until midnight when her replacement started work. However, a call was made and the replacement cashier arrived with wet hair and out of breath within the hour.
The girls wanted to eat. So not knowing anything about where to go, we left it them to decide. We ended up in what I now know to have been King Restaurant on Walking Street where I just asked Noi to order for me and for it to be ‘not too spicy’. I had some sort of King Prawn dish and as I eat it all I guess that it must have been okay.
The next memory is signing in on the whiteboard at FLB and the brain had somehow managed to convey that I really shouldn’t have any more beer, so I was drinking Coke now. I do remember being loud and I sent my glass flying. (Apologies to anyone that I ‘pissed off’ or angered there that night.) Our group then increased in size when Chris (chrisbrewer) came over to our group and introduced himself. He had met Tim (talen) in Secrets and come over to FLB to see if there were any other BM's about.
We then decide it would be a good idea to return to Soi 8 and upon arriving at the Cherry Bar, I saw that Adam (Hammer) was there, so I went and introduced my drunken wreck of a self to him.
Somewhere along the line, both Chris and Tim also paid BF for girls at Cherry.
Chris (+Nok), Kev (+Am) and myself (+Noi) got a baht bus back to the RG. I do not remember this journey, but I have been told that I was having a very good time. Apparently a German couple didn’t approve though and they got off the bus. (This part is from being told the story and shown the photographic proof, however I cannot validate its authenticity). That’ll teach the Germans for delaying me at Muscat!!
I had somehow survived my first day in Pattaya. I'd got a girl who was looking after me, I was merrily pissed and I'd met some new people. Time for bed.
